RECEIVE JESUS

A FREE GIFT OF GOD

God loves you and values you so much, He gave a Gift from Heaven for you to receive and be saved. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die, so that mankind could be saved from sin. There is no other Name given under Heaven among men, whereby men can be saved. There is One God and One Mediator between God and man – Jesus Christ.

What must I do to be Saved?

God is not willing that any should die (eternally be separated from God) but that all should come to repentance (change their minds). Jesus said, ‘Except you repent you shall perish.’ God says “All souls are mine and the soul that sins shall die – for all have sinned, no not one is righteous.”

God so loved the world that He – not willing any should perish but live eternally, sent His Son that whosoever believes in Him should live forever. The wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God), but the free gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ.

To live eternally with God, you need to believe with all your heart the Name of Jesus that is above every other Name. There is One God who is a Spirit and just as the wind blows but cannot be seen, so it is when God comes in union with man.

Jesus said, Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. You must be born again by accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour. This spiritual birth enables man to worship his creator– the One True Loving God in the Spirit.

Jesus Christ who was the sinless Lamb – born for this purpose to be the mediator between God and man, offered Himself to be a perfect sacrifice for the sin of all mankind.

When you have believed this truth, simply repeat this prayer with sincerity:

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Thank you for the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ, who died in my place on the cross. I believe that Jesus rose again from the dead to give me Eternal Life.

I ask you to forgive me and to cleanse me of all my sins. I accept Your love and forgiveness. Come into my heart Jesus and be Lord over my life.

You said in Your Word, that if I confess with my mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved.

Therefore, with my heart I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and I’m justified (just-as-if I’ve never sinned); with my mouth I confess that I am saved. For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Thank you for making me a child of God. Thank you Father, for Your free gift of Salvation through Your Son Jesus Christ.

If you have an inferiority complex about yourself – you are insecure about your future and you are depressed all the time;

Say the following Confessions aloud :

I have the ability to accomplish, achieve, master, subdue and have dominion over the earth because God says, I do.

In the Name of Jesus...........

  • I am not a mistake.
  • I am a masterpiece.
  • I am not a reject – I reject rejection.

I cannot be rejected because the Bible tells me:

  • I am accepted in the Beloved and God accepts me – therefore,
  • I accept those around me.
  • I don’t have to rationalize it.
  • I don’t have to intellectualize it.
  • I know, that I know, that I’m Somebody Special to God.

SAY IT ALOUD:

  • God has not given to me the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

  • I am far from oppression and fear does not come near me. (Isa. 54:14)

  • When I lie down, I shall not be afraid: yes, I shall lie down, and my sleep shall be sweet. I will not be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the destruction of the wicked, when it comes. For the LORD shall be my confidence, and shall keep my foot from being taken. (Prov. 3:24-26)

Therefore I Establish His Word Upon This Earth.

Jesus Christ is our model. With the Scriptures, He encountered temptations and overcame them, answered His critics, and even prayed the words of the Psalms on the cross. Praying the Scriptures is talking to God in His own language. How does a baby learn to talk? By listening to His Father’s voice.

God’s Word spoken in the Spirit is His two-edged weapon.

Ephesians 6:17 says, “Take the sword of the Spirit – which is the Word of God.”

Fill your prayers with the powerful weapon of God’s Word. No soldier would dare to report for duty without a weapon. His life depends on it – so does yours.

Bring the power of the Word into your praise and prayer. The only thing that matters in our warfare is the faithful use of His precious blade – the Word.

God binds Himself to His Promises; so learn to pray the Promises of God. Speak and Confess the Promises of God and God will confirm His Word.

The Bible says in Numbers 23:10, “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the Son of man, that He should repent; has He said, and shall He not do it? or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?”

Every promise is like a cheque which is nothing more than a piece of paper until it is cashed at the bank. Praying the Word of God is to encash His Promises.  Always pray with an open Bible, filling your praise and petition with God’s Word.

  • Pray God’s Promises – His declarations concerning Himself.
  • Pray His Names and Titles by which He reveals His nature and character.
  • Pray the rights He has given to you as a believer, for bold and confident access.

When a need arises, spread them all over before God Who hears His children. Our Heavenly Father will not break His Word to His own child (Numbers 30:2).

Praying the Word of God will build your faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God: (Romans 10:17). Praying the Scriptures assures that you are praying the mind and the will of God.  Our Prayers are in line with the will of God, when they are prayed according to the Word of God.

Praying God’s Word seals the answer. Promises predict the answers and they assure us what to expect. Isaiah 55:11 says, “God’s Word never returns to Him void – without accomplishing what He desires. You cannot be worried and anxious in your mind and call that prayer.

Praying God’s Word brings God’s power into our prayers. Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing is ever impossible.” No Word from God shall be without power or impossible to be fulfilled. You must pray by saying, ‘Lord, Be it unto me according to Your Word’ (Luke 1:38).

Praying the Scriptures orchestrates prayer agreement for multiplied power. The Bible says, “Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword” (Leviticus 26:8).

HOW DO WE PRAY THE SCRIPTURES?

Read a verse or a scripture passage and ask God to explain to you what He sees in it. He will give you a praise, a confession, or a petition based on the passage. Pray it back to God.

Praying the Word of God is ‘God-oriented praying’ (a good antidote to self-centered shopping-list praying). When praying a promise, focus on God’ Who gave the promise, Whose name and character guarantee the fulfillment of the promise.

Seek His face, and not His hand. Gaze at God and glance at the requests. Match His attributes, His names to your needs and give God all the glory!

Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the Spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.”

The result of praying the scriptures will allow you to abide in the presence of the Lord even more.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are My disciples indeed; And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:31-32, 36).

Set your mind on the Lord, in gratitude and love for the answers you desire to see in your prayers. This will enable your heart to be overwhelmed as you meditate on the victory that has already been won for you.

As you begin to abide in Him and let His Words abide in you, you will bring forth much fruit – for without Him you can do nothing (John 15:4-7).

Make a decision to rejoice and be joyful always. Pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Delight in Him and meditate upon His Word day and night, for then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success (Joshua 1:8,  Psalms 1:2).
